We have car parking facilities for up to 3 cars in our own private grounds and secure lockable posts for cycles / motorcycles should you wish to lock them.
Your hosts are Ian and Anna Gillespie, who will make sure your stay here is both an enjoyable and pleasantly memorable one.
Ian, by trade is a chef, who has worked in numerous restaurants, hotels and pubs in East and North Yorkshire where he is originally from. He has worked as both a head chef and restaurant manager and is currently working as a chef and kitchen manager here in the Northern Scottish Highlands.
Anna is a photographer, who has her own business here in Helmsdale. The pictures that furbish your suite are all taken by Anna and can be purchased upon request. Many other elegant photos of different styles / designs can be viewed also from her portfolio collection and ordered for home delivery. Please enquire for further details.
Anna is also a very profoficient cook and works part-time in the kitchens of the local Timepan Museum's cafe - Riverside.

Here at Viewpoint, we are 100% dedicated to make your stay here both as pleasurable and memorable as possible. We started our Guesthouse with one question in mind - what would WE wish to find in one ? Having both travelled extensively, we believe we have managed to combine all the essential ingredients, plus a few luxuries, into our establishment. Making it not just a place to stay overnight, but a place you would wish to visit time and time again, and of course, one you would recommend to friends, family and indeed, anyone who wanted a truly unique stay here in the beautiful Northern Highlands of Scotland.

Packed lunches are available at extra cost if required - one less worry for your plans for the day.
Whilst we do not serve Evening meals, we are delighted to be able to offer a 10% reduction at a local restaurant in the village, a five minute walk away, which is recognised for serving award winning steaks from the Mey Selections of whom His Royal Highness The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay is the patron - For the perfect end to your day.

Sorry, but we are unable to cater for guests with a dog/dogs. This is purely as we have one of our own and as lovable as he is to all humans, and indeed all other species of mammals, he does not unfortunately carry this affection on to other canines. He is a rescue dog and the vet has suggested he may have been attacked by another dog as a puppy to suggest his behavior. We understand you have your own suite here at Viewpoint Guesthouse, but for the sake of peace - for all - we are unable to accept dogs. We can however recommend another bed and breakfast which is only 2.5 miles away that does accept dogs. Thank You.

Scrambled eggs, cooked with cream and laced with Scottish cold smoked salmon. Served with granary bread triangles and dairy butter
White and Granary toast, served with a selection of individual preserves and honey. Your choice of Freshly made filtered coffee and / or Freshly brewed tea ( Yorkshire, Green or Camomile )
